March 26 Part 2 - March 26, 2008
  • $35 Sprint
  • $65 XM

There were a few outstanding bills that needed to be paid online once my paycheck was deposited. I hate waiting till the last minute to pay a bill, but at least I’m never late!

Busy Bees - March 26, 2008

My husband and I are nowhere near the phase in our life where we are considering children, and already our time management skills are being put to the test. I can only image that it gets worse when you add more (little) people to the equation.

Most of our issues with time management are centered around our career goals and “paying our dues” to get where we want to be. We’re working extra house, going to school, and working our hardest to move up in life. Our personal goal setting has us on a tight schedule, and only careful time management will allow us to get everything done that we want and need.

March 26 - March 26, 2008

It’s not even payday yet and I’ve already sat down and wrote checks and addressed envelopes.

  • $106 State Farm
  • $175 Sallie Mae
  • $39 AT&T
  • $19 Capital One (stupid annual fee – CANCELLED!)
  • $10 Netflix
  • $200 Chase
  • $178 medical bill
  • $103 state taxes

Starting this pay period, fun money is being cut back and our summer vacation has been cancelled. It’s no fun, but it’s necessary.

March 24 thru 25 - March 25, 2008

I’d rather be investing our money in penny stocks, but alas, the expense of daily life calls.

Monday

  • $6 car wash
  • $32 gas
  • $19 Target

Tuesday

  • $6 car wash
  • $25 gas

Both cars are now clean as a whistle and have gas to last the week. I don’t plan on spending any more money until I pay bills on Friday.

March 23 - March 24, 2008
  • $69 Wal-Mart
  • $79 Wal-Mart
  • $20 birthday cash
  • $7 Starbucks

I hate going to Wal-Mart, which is why I can hardly believe that I was there twice yesterday. The first time was for groceries and the second time was for new windshield wipers and oil change supplies, which escalated into every bathroom toiletry and accessory aside from shower chairs while my husband was in the car section and I was left to wander.

March 22 - March 23, 2008

With my sister in town, and the New York movers paid off from her recent move to New York City, my family spent the evening at Balmoral Park Racetrack betting on the ponies. We bet on every race and had snacks, and I spent less than if we had went to the movies. We had so much fun that my husband and I are going back next Saturday for date night.

  • $30 Balmoral Park Racetrack
  • $24 Target
March 21 - March 22, 2008

My sister flew in from New York for Easter weekend yesterday, so my mom, husband, and I headed to Midway to pick her up. After the big reunion, we did some shopping…

  • $31 gas
  • $11 Wendy’s
  • $56 Old Navy
  • $145 Cost Plus
  • $145 GAP

My husband came with and he was in desperate need of new jeans and belts, so he got a few necessities. We also stocked up on our favorite wine, pint glasses, and birthday presents for our nephews from Cost Plus since we don’t make it out there very often.
