The most effective diet pill isn’t any help without a change in diet and exercise, and with that change comes costs. This week I started getting serious about exercising and changing my diet (or at least a little more serious than I was when I was laying on the couch eating cookies last week) and have incurred costs since.
I needed a new sports bra (yes, when you are a 36DD, a sports bra is a necessity), my elliptical machine needed a tune-up, and fresh fruits and veggies needed to fill the refridgerator.
In the short-term, it’s all worth it if last year’s summer clothes fit and I don’t have to go out and buy a new wardrobe. In the long-term, I’ll probably cut my healthcare costs in half if I can continue to run just a single mile every day.
We’ll be taking advantage of our home theater chairs (read: couch) this weekend by staying home and enjoying Sweeny Todd and Attonement from Netflix to save a little money.

Looking back through Daily Dollars, I don’t think we’ve been grocery shopping since April 16, so we stopped last night so my husband could stop threatening to eat his foot.
No money to splurge on Shirley of Hollywood this week. Just the necessities until payday. My husband is at work tonight, so we can do without groceries until tomorrow.
I was going to do a diet pill review, but got distracted by eat sleep tweet. I don’t have the sidebar badge on this site, but I’m an avid Twitter user (if you’re a member, follow me!), so I splurged on a tshirt to show it. Shipping cost more than the tshirt!
I just returned from New York City, so these past few days have been a checking account blur. I can’t say exactly where I spent my money, but I knew I spent $350, have some great souviners, and enough photos to fill an entire scrapbook.
I’ll crack down on my Daily Dollars after Memorial Day!
The thrill is gone. Spending money isn’t fun anymore.
