I grabbed a Starbucks to jumpstart my morning and headed to Agency Bootcamp. It was a really great panel discussion on how agencies can utilize social media for their clients, but unfortunately my clients are not of the caliber that makes the likes of MySpace and Facebook viable options. The services that IZEA offers are much more realistic and on par with their marketing goals, and I wish Ted Murphy had more of a chance to talk and discuss the options and tactics from an advertisers standpoint. Yet another great reason why I need to make it to IZEAfest this fall!

I’ve been gone for a few days, so I’m playing catch-up with our finances as well as preparing for the bill paying frenzy associated with payday.
- $120 Kohl’s*
- $35 gas
- $35 dog boarding
- $39 AT&T
- $210 Chase
- $175 Sallie Mae
- $18 Marie Claire subscription
*Let it be said that I absolutely hate Kohl’s, and the only reason I ventured in was because I desperately needed new bras and they were having a 40% off sale.
I run quite a few blogs, and unforunately, this one isn’t worth anything according to how much is your blog worth?, but my main blog, Oh, hey. is apparnetly worth almost as much as I make in a year! I doubt anyone would ever pay that much for it, but it’s kind of gratifying to know that two years of hard blogging is worth something.
I would have loved to have purchased some handcrafted jewelry today, but it was just a typical day at work. Maybe next payday!
So, I stopped at Starbucks for the second day in a row after not stopping for weeks, and I can see how quickly this could turn into an addition that I need drug treatment for, so I’m nipping it in the bud right now. No more Starbucks. Back to McDonald’s iced coffee or nothing.

My husband and I had our one date night for this payday last night. It was a beautiful night and the forests make great air cleaners near the stables, so we headed to the race track!
- $42 Applebees
- $1 Balmoral Park
We had a nice dinner and spent some time betting on the ponies. We didn’t come out big winners, but we didn’t come out big losers, either.
Kudos to Dunkin’ Donuts for giving everyone a little something for nothing. Tomorrow, from 10 am till 10 pm, you can try any of the 9 flavors of Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Coffee for FREE! You don’t have to print a coupon or donate money or do anything special, just show up at Dunkin’ Donuts, say please and thank-you, and enjoy a free treat.
