  • $41 gas
  • $64 groceries

I think I’m more concerned with the cost of groceries than the cost of gas, although I know that the two go hand-in-hand. I didn’t get much at the grocery, just some canned veggies, 100 calorie packs, rice, and bread. I’ll be visiting Aldi this weekend for cereal, milk, and lunch meat.

And while I’m mentioning Aldi, can I just say how flabbergasted I am that some people refuse to shop at Aldi? My mom has shopped there my entire life, and I’ve yet to get sick and find a mouse in my green beans, so all those claims are completely unwarranted. Sure, I know what’s good to buy at Aldi and what’s not, but if pressed, I bet I could do 75% of my regular shopping at Aldi.

Air Conditioning Repairs - June 18, 2008

I am dependent on air conditioning in my home and in my car as soon as the temperature rises above 70 degrees, and I know that fixing auto air conditioning can be expensive, but it’s a necssity, so I don’t argue.

This summer, I’m prepared. If my air conditioning goes out in my car (which is a distinct possibility since I’m driving a 10 year old car) I’m logging on to 1 Air Conditioning where I can bet all the parts I need with free shipping and a warranty. There’s even phone and online support to help me find what I need.

I’m not even sure why I bother depositing my paycheck.

Maximize Craigslist with Craygo - June 17, 2008

I just got through having a good purge on Craigslist. I sold purses, clothes, toys, and even listed my car on Craigslist. I made enough money to pay off a credit card, but even though it was easy to add my items, I was left wanting more from Craigslist. I wanted something quicker, more user friendly, and with more features.

Craygo is the answer, with more features than any other Craigslist posting application available, including Easy Ad Poster, adsoncraigs AdBomber and AdMaster combined! Craygo saves times by auto filling ad data, saving posts for future listing times, and creating and rotating a random list of email addresses so you don’t subject yourself to the copias amount of spam associated with listing on Craigslist! Craygo maximizes your Craigslist postings while reducing your time invested by over 50%!

Being a blogger, Craygo’s simple setup reminds me a lot of my blogging software, which makes the application completely intuitive. Type in the listing information just like you’re typing in Word, include pictures, then hit Post Campaign, and see all your listings in the right hand column. Craygo posts to any available Craigslist category, and Craygo even answers Craigslist’s captcha codes when posting campaigns!

If you’re posting a lot of items, the email report feature is indispensible. You can email a posting activity report which includes the number of posts, the most recent posts, and a your all-time Craygo average.

I love that Craygo encourages potential users to go out and compare their product to others on the market to prove just how good it is. There’s no other product with the amount of features or as user friendly as Crayo.

Not only does Craygo work with Craigslist, it’s compatible with the newest classified site, Backpage. Yet another feature that puts Craygo on the cutting edge of classified posting technology.

Wants vs. Needs - June 17, 2008

MSN started a thread on their message board entiteld What do you want? Will you still want it a year from now? and a few months later, they are taking a look at the difference betweens want and need. It is a neat read because my husband and I are in a constant struggle between wants and needs, and at this points, wants are winning more frequently than they should.

Do you have any rules of thumb for making a purchase that classifies as a want? How do you make the distinction?

GPS Tracking Keeps Me Safe - June 16, 2008

One optional item that my husband and I decided was worth including on our new Prius is GPS Tracking and navigation. I travel a lot for work, and it’s a great way to make sure I’m on the right path and for my husband to check where I am when I’m away on a long time. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve called my husband for help with directions and can’t explain to him where I’m at!

It’s also a great way to protect your vehicle, and, once kids come along, monitor their location and speed to help keep them safe. GPS tracking is a great investment that pays for itself with piece of mind and security.

June 14 thru 16 - June 16, 2008
  • $20 Balmoral Park
  • $6 McDonald’s
  • $10 pedicure
  • $160 Carnivale

I had a very busy weekend. Saturday, I visited my grandparents and went to the horse races with my parents. Sunday, I brought my dad breakfast and his Father’s Day present, then went out to dinner at Carnivale downtown with my husband and his coworkers. Obviously, we’ll be staying home the rest of the month after a $160 dinner.
