We have to stop going to Costco when we’re bored.

Add Old Time Pottery to somewhere we shouldn’t go when we’re bored, too. We walked out with a nativity scene, beer steins, dog collars, a fuzzy plastic bunny, and a huge plastic planter.

  • $36 Target

I was near the fabulous SuperTarget for work yesterday and had to stop in and get a few of my Archer Farm favorites.

$4,000 bill paid in coins - February 18, 2009

A man in South Bend, Indiana, paid a $4,079 property tax bill in coins as protest against different assessments for his home and rental property.

It seems to me that if one of the homes is a money making entity, it should be taxed at a different rate than a primary deweling, but that’s not my main point.

What struck me was paying a bill in a valid form of US currency as protest. 100 pennies is worth just as much as a dollar bill, so why is it considered rebelious to use the pennies?

Job Postings - February 13, 2009

I don’t want to jinx us, but my husband and I have stable jobs in a time when many of our friends and family are being laid off. Everyone has to eat and go to the doctor, I guess.

I just thought I’d give a few of you that are job hunting a tip that there are new jobs posted at abc-exchange.com. They are growing their business, and need college educated men and women to help them expand. The positions are work at home home, which could also allow you more time with your family and the ability to continue your full-time job search.

Good luck!

My husband’s cell phone surcomb to a known flaw to the phone and Sprint replaced it with a brand new $500 phone for $55, with no contract renewal or plan upgrades. Pretty awesome deal.
