I completely broke my promise to never take my husband grocery shopping because I needed someone to load and unload the car, and look what it did to my grocery budget!
Oh, and we also booked a trip to Disney World! It was completely on a whim and we’ll be driving to keep the cost down and only staying for a few days, but we are so looking forward to some Disney magic and so excited that we don’t have to skip out annual trip to Disney this October!
- $200 Disney vacation deposit

I’ve been driving a ten year old car for two years – it was time to upgrade!
I absolutely love it. All the gadgets and gizmos are a dream and it’s averaging over 60 mpg. That’s more than twice my old car!
Definitely an investment I was glad to make.

I definitely do the bulk of my necessity shopping at Target. Today I picked up hand soap, toothbrushes, shaving cream, flea medicine, puppy pads, and carpet cleaner. Unfortunately, Target is also the store where I do the bulk of my impulse purchases. I also picked up two pairs of flip flops, three books, and mascara.
It’s a love hate relationship.
Sometimes I like to play a little game called If Money Were No Object and list things I’d like to buy. Lately everything I want has been house related, so maybe I’m nesting? Maybe I’m itching for summer to finally get here?
This summer I’m all about my little patio full of flowers, and some rustic furniture (maybe a pair of chairs and a little table) would be perfect to enjoy the view. But I don’t want anything too rustic. I like clean lines and simple materials, but no twiggy furniture. I don’t want splinters in my butt.
What would you buy if money were no object?
I panicked when I got letter in the mail from Chase yesterday saying that they are closing one of my credit card accounts. The reasons stated were:
- Bankcard balance grew too fast compared to credit limit and time on file
- Too few accounts with time on file greater than 36 months
- The number of bankcards opened has grown too fast
After a bit of research, I found that none of the reasons given were legitimate. The account closed was my oldest credit card account and has not had a balance for over two years. On top of that, I closed a half dozen credit card accounts about six months ago and have paid off two more since.
Basically, Chase gave me the boot because they weren’t making any money.
