Daily Dollars – September 11 thru 24 - September 24, 2011

The last two weeks have been trying, to say the least. I used the last of my PTO when I came down with a nasty cold, which means I won’t be seeing my family at Christmas. I’m also dealing with the last of the divorce paperwork (did I mention I’m filing everything myself?) and some news from my (soon to be ex) husband that I wasn’t prepared for.

2012 cannot come soon enough.

Good news abounds! Remember the vacation website BookIt that I blogged about last month? I won a trip to Cancun! We’re still working out the logistics since the vacation has to be used before the first of the year and I’ll be taking my sister who lives in NYC, but I’m excited about the possibility of spending Thanksgiving on the beach!

I also got a promotion and an itsy bitsy teeny weeny raise, so I was out celebrating with coworkers last night (oh, my aching head).

Paid In Full - September 6, 2011

I knew it was coming, but when this little baby showed up in my mail box last week I thought it deserved a celebration. Half of our cars (meaning one of two – but 50% sounds so much more impressive) are now paid in full!

That payment amount will now be snowballed into the next credit card in line to be paid off by October as part of my Q3 financial goals.
