Trent Hamm from The Simple Dollar blogged about 7 places that tempt him to spend so I thought I’d list my 7.

GAP/Banana Republic/Old Navy 99% of my clothing comes from these three stores. Luckily, there’s an outlet nearby and 99% of my GAP/Banana Republic/Old Navy clothes come from the outlet. See? Thrifty.

Craft Stores I’m not really crafty, but damn if I don’t try.PaperBackSwap.com - Book Club to Swap, Trade & Exchange Books for Free.

Bookstores Luckily my weakness is for used bookstores, and PaperBackSwap has filled that void. I haven’t bought a new book in months. According to their handy calculator, I’ve saved $171 since signing up. Yippee!

Target Specifically, The Dollar Spot. How can you pass up mugs, coat hangers, travel blankets, or Jiffy Pop for only a dollar? You can’t. You just can’t.

Etsy It’s linked to my PayPal account. Two clicks and anything I want is paid for. Diamond earrings, homemade marshmallows, and a vintage spider pin are my most recent purchases. All totally unnecessary, but the urge to purchase was overwhelming.

Vacations I must go on vacation every six months. It’s nonnegotiable. But if I may toot my own horn, I’m quite skilled at finding travel deals, like these  Gap Adventures Coupons. Our recent trip to Austin (airfare, hotel, and rental car) was under $600 and our upcoming trip to Disney (airfare, hotel, park tickets, and food) will be under $1,000. I should have been a travel agent.

Petstores Our dog is unbelievably spoiled. Toys, treats, clothes, beds – he has it all. I don’t know what it makes me so happy to buy him things – he’s just as grateful for a bowl of kibble as he is for a pupcake (that’s gourmet doggie cupcakes for you sane pet owners).
