First we have a open window policy whenever it’s above 65 outside, this keeps chemicals from building up in doors and we try to use natural or made at home cleaners like vinegar, baking soda, and salt.

As a grandparent I am aware that many child poisonings happen in grandparents homes. This is because grandparents don’t take precautions not having any children around. All of my cleaning products and any harsh chemical substances are kept in our locked garage where you cannot go without a key or an electronic door opener. When grandkids grow old enough to be safe with these products there will probably be great grandbabies on the horizon so I will just keep it locked.

Well to keep my family safe I make sure that all of my cleaning products are kept in a cupboard with a child proof lock well out of the way of little hands, and I am gradually looking for products that are more child friendly!
