I’m a ferocious readers. I average 1-2 books per week and there’s no topic that doesn’t interest me.
The newest book to pique my interest is about Federal Prisons, written by a former inmate who was convicted of submitting fraudulent federal loan applications and served six months. Before he served time, he was consumed with questions about what prison would be like. Would he be hurt? What would he eat? What would he do every day?
This book answers some of those questions, and gives an overview of what a day in the life of a federal inmate is like. This book would be an extremely interesting read for anyone, but especially those with friends and family in prison, or those facing prison terms themselves.

I would love this book. Very interesting stuff.
Karen – You can read an excerpt on the website, and it’s really great. Not that I plan on heading to federal prison anytime soon.
I know, I don’t plan on staying there either. LOL It just fascinates me.
…I think the word you were looking for was “voracious,” not “ferocious.”
No, I’m okay with ferocious. They are synonyms.
Actually, they’re not synonyms at all. Slant rhymes, but not synonyms.
If you’re okay with being a vicious, cruel, fierce reader, however, by all means proceed….
I’m okay with being an extreme and intense reader.
[...] Corrin at Broke as a Spoke had a very thought provoking article about a book called Preparing for Federal Prison. My first thought was, “that must be a metaphor or something..” but its not. The book is apparently about exactly what the title states. It is written by a former inmate and has information on what to expect. Maybe we should chip in and send a copy to Madoff. [...]
